The collection includes 340 fully designed elements at 48 kHz plus 200 raw source recordings at 192 kHz, giving you a rich foundation for extreme pitching, granular manipulation, layering, and other advanced sound design workflows.
PORTAL is a collaboration between Alessandro Romeo of HorrorSound and Czech sound recordist Lukas Tvrdon, combining their strengths in sound design and field recording.
Equipement:
The recording process was carried out using a Sound Devices MixPre-6, ensuring ultra clean preamps and exceptionally low noise for capturing even the most delicate mechanical movements.
A selection of premium microphones including the Sanken CO-100K, Sennheiser MKH 30, DPA 4007, and DPA 4060 was employed to achieve extraordinary clarity, extended frequency response, and precise spatial detail.
